The Kloof Rotary is a local branch of a global service organization with the motto “Service Above Self”.  This organisation funds a range of great projects showing their commitment to assisting the poor, disadvantaged and underprivileged – they have funded over 1,000 learners through an adult literacy programme in KZN in 2008 alone. 

As part of our CSI initiative, Adapt IT was a main sponsor towards the Kloof Rotary's Annual Durban POPS evening, featuring the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra which took place in November 2008 at the Durban City Hall. The theme for the event was “An Evening of Transformation”, and the Kloof Rotary made a concerted effort to reach out to various members of the community. 

The guest list was full of prominent names which included the Premier of KZN Dr. Sbu Ndebele, the Kloof Rotary Club President Mr. Ian Foster, the Consul General of the United States Jill Derderian and our very own CEO Mr. Sbu Shabalala. The support from these individuals has heightened exposure for the Kloof Rotary Club and Adapt IT certainly looks forward to more worthy initiatives such as this.

The Premier Dr. Sbu Ndebele made an appeal for the Molweni storm victims. The Rotary audience generously responded to his appeal and an amount of R23 800 was raised spontaneously at the event. In addition, the Rotary Club was pleased to share news of an additional R150 000 in proceeds raised from the event. This will go towards funding a variety of youth, community and vocational projects in the Kloof area.
